Frequently Asked Questions
Q: For registration purposes, can we choose "participating" but switch to "non-participating," or vice versa, at a later date if our circumstances change?
A: We rely on our participating families to provide the legally necessary number of adults in each classroom. Participation is a commitment. Opt for non-participating if you are unsure of your situation. You may possibly be able to change to participating if spots become available after school begins.
Q: If I am participating, do I have to participate in my child’s class or may I assist in other classrooms?
A: You may participate in any classroom. The participation schedule is posted monthly and is first come, first served.
Q: If we want to add sessions at a later date, are we correct in understanding that it's subject to availability? Conversely, if we have to drop sessions (but not withdraw fully), is this also subject to the four weeks notice rule? Are there any penalties for making changes?
A: All schedule changes require a minimum four weeks' notice, are contingent upon availability and approval and will take effect on the first of the month following the date of the request. A $50 fee will be charged for a drop schedule change. No extra fee for adding sessions.
Q: What if I have to withdrawal from your program?
A: We require four weeks' notice of withdrawal, in writing. After February 1, 2019, families will be responsible for tuition for the remainder of the year unless a replacement student is found.
Q: How is tuition calculated if our child is enrolled in sessions that fall on a school break or holiday? Is any tuition deducted for months when sessions fall on breaks or holidays?
A: Similar to rent on an apartment, tuition is always the same monthly amount. We don't offer make-up days.
Q: When are materials fees due?
A: Our non-refundable materials fee is due August 1st, along with September's tuition.
Q: What does the lunch bunch fee cover?
A: Lunch Bunch is 1 hour of care. Children bring their own lunches. No nuts of any kind are allowed.
Q: Do you have early or late drop off?
A: We have Early Bird drop off at 8am for a flat fee of $10.00. No extended care after 4 p.m.
