About Our School
Our school began as Forest Hill Christian Church Pre-School in 1964 and became an independent non-profit in 2017.
We serve over 60 children per year, divided by age into three classrooms. Children must be two and a half years old and potty trained to start. Children may attend two, three, or five half or full days per week. We offer an optional parent participation program in exchange for reduced tuition. Our teachers meet and exceed all state ECE requirements; most have college degrees and/or teaching credentials along with being CPR, First Aid and AED certified. We are a state licensed preschool and a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
Our children learn joyfully as they do what comes naturally to them, exploring and playing. Children are learning a great deal as they involve themselves in what looks like play to adults. Play is the primary way children learn. While they play they can practice, remember and review in their own way. We strive to provide a fun age-appropriate environment for all our children.
Our staff at Forest Hill Preschool strives to create a nurturing and challenging environment for each child.
We encourage the development of self-esteem, respect for others as well as themselves, concern for the environment and having fun while learning.
A wide range of instructional, creative and recreational activities are offered in a comfortable, safe, well-equipped setting.
It is our hope for each child to make a successful and positive transition from home-life to life in the community, from toddler to kindergartener. Every child needs a positive start to foster their learning experiences.
